The MCU and NPS AI Learning Initiatives Hackathon is co-hosted at the Marine Corps University, MCB Quantico, VA, and Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA, on September 15 (virtually) and September 16–18, 2026 at each location. This is a premier innovation event that will support the Corps’ training and education modernization priorities by fostering collaboration, accelerating experimentation, and showcasing solutions that enhance the Marine Corps’ expeditionary advantage.

The MCeLE Virtual Workshop provides a forum for learning professionals, training managers, academic officers, sponsors, command representatives, and other MCeLE users to share innovative approaches that enhance training and education across the Marine Corps. Measurable outcomes that demonstrate improved readiness, enhanced learner performance, or efficiencies in time and resource management are welcomed.
Participation provides an opportunity to share best practices, contribute to enterprise learning modernization, and highlight organizational achievements across the Total Force.
The virtual workshop is split into two parts. Part 1, scheduled for September 21, includes the certification of ecosystem components. Part 2, occurring September 22 to 24, features selected use-case presentations, updates to MCeLE components, discussions on the future direction of the MCeLE ecosystem, and the integration of artificial intelligence capabilities within the ecosystem.
